Aga Luczakowska
(Născută în 1981, în Katowice, Polonia)
A absolvit Universitatea din Silezia, unde a urmat şi un master în geografie. În 2006, s-a angajat ca fotograf la ziarul polonez Dziennik Zachodni. Anul următor, Aga a început să lucreze ca freelencer şi a participat la workshopul lui Eddie Adams. În 2008, a cîştigat o bursă în Italia la cursul lui Stanley Greene, Focus on Monferrato. Doi ani mai tîrziu, a fost invitată la un workshop cu Christopher Morris, sponsorizat de Canon, la Galeria VII din New York.
Fotografiile sale au fot publicate în Vision Magazine, National Geographic Polonia, Gaste, Gazeta Wyborcza, Dziennik Zachodni şi The New York Times Lens blog. În 2010, a cîştigat locul II la Southeast Photo Contest – People and Culture, locul II la concursul foto din cadrul International Romani Art Festival, premiul pentru tineri artişti din partea Primăriei Katowice, premiul de excelenţă la concursul foto Newsweek Polonia – A Free Woman, An Independent Woman –, precum şi Your Shot Photo Contest din National Geographic Polonia. În prezent, Aga Luczakowska locuieşte în Bucureşti.

She graduated from the University of Silesia with a Master’s Degree in Geography. In 2006, she worked as a staff photographer for the Polish daily newspaper Dziennik Zachodni. The following year, Aga began working as a freelance photographer and attended the Eddie Adams Workshop. In 2008 she was awarded a scholarship to attend Masterclass Focus on Monferrato with Stanley Greene. In 2010, she was invited for a workshop sponsored by Canon with Christopher Morris at VII Gallery from New York.
Aga’s photographs have appeared in such publications as Vision Magazine, National Geographic Poland, Gaste, Gazeta Wyborcza, Dziennik Zachodni and on The New York Times Lens blog. The recipient of several awards for her work, she won second prize at the Southeast Photo Contest – People and Culture in 2010, second prize on a photo contest during International Romani Art Festival, the prize from the Office for the City of Katowice for young creators of culture, an Award of Excellence in Newsweek Poland photo contest A Free Woman, An Independent Woman, as well as Your Shot Photo Contest in National Geographic Poland. Currently, Aga Luczakowska lives in Bucharest.
